Accounting has been my passion since high school. I received an “Award for Proficiency in Accounting” for achieving the highest grades in accounting along with “Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship” in recognition of outstanding academic achievement in high school. Ever since high school, I knew I would be an excellent accountant!
I continued my journey with an Accounting Specialist Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto at St. George – Joseph L. Rotman School of Management while fulfilling the academic requirements of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) and Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA Canada).
I started my CPA, CA practical experience requirements from KPMG LLP and cleared the Common Knowledge Examination (CKE) and School of Accountancy (SOA). After clearing the Uniform Final Examination (UFE), I continued to work towards completing the articles at another mid-sized public accounting firm. Having experienced both, I found myself much more interested in small to mid-sized businesses. That led me to gain a lot of experience with different mid-sized public accounting firms.
The opportunity to be responsible for a client file from the cradle to the grave at these firms prepared me to be able to provide the highest quality of service to my clients from different industries.
I continued to strengthen my credentials by obtaining a certificate of authorization to practice as a public accountant under my registered professional corporation.
Being a Licenced Public Accountant (LPA), I am authorized to practice public accounting by CPA Ontario.
